3)What does your job entail?
Day to day management of business operations, generation of new clients, managing and developing existing client accounts including the recruitment of technical and engineering staff. Managing, training and developing the existing team at Willcox Matthews.
4)What is a typical day like?
Every day is different, providing its own challenges!
5)Favourite memory from your time at work?
Uhhhhh, hard to put my finger on one particular memory but if I had to choose it would be when we hit our 1st year annual target in 3 months and 5 days!

Ones who we have a reciprocal relationship with, who value our advice and partnership.
7)What advice would you offer for someone who wants to be in your industry?
Really research the company you are planning to join and be prepared to work really hard to be successful as this is a really competitive industry.
8)What do you like most about your job?
Helping people! This can include both candidates, who are having a hard time and are looking for their next career move and clients who are looking to match with a talented candidate.
9)What do you find most challenging about your job?
The most challenging aspect of my job is feeling like we have let a client or candidate down, even if sometimes it’s out of our control.
10)Where are you from?
I was born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire but have lived in various locations across the UK within the counties of Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
11)Where did you go to school?
Again, I have been to a total of 7 schools before the age of 18 the most recent three where I did the longest stints are Droitwich High School, Worcester 6th Form College and the University of Lincoln.
12)What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Spending time with my lovely partner. I enjoy the gym, eating out a various restaurants and pubs, spending time with friends and family and most recently, hiking. I am also a massive history/politics nerd so in addition I spend a great deal of time reading and researching various historical periods and events.
13)What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I have visited 24 countries since I was 18 years old.

Paperboy at aged 13
15)Do you have a pet?
No pets unfortunately
16)What’s one thing you’re really good at / one thing you’re really bad at?
I’m good at listening to other people’s problems and being empathetic with them. I am really bad at leaving work at work, as I tend to take things home with me.
17)What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
Snorkel, harpoon and swimming shorts.
18)If you could have a career in anything, what would it be?
Recruitment, of course!
19)If you could meet anyone (real / fictional) who would it be and why?
This is a tough one, as there are so many people, I would like to meet. Historical figures I would probably have to say, Herodotus – Ancient Greek, considered to be the first historian, Augustus – First Roman Emperor (for this reason), Marcus Aurelius – Roman Emperor and Stoic Philosopher. Fictional either Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead or Walter White from Breaking Bad.
